It's been six month's since my last post. Allot has happened. Spent Christmas ans Easter in NYC. Mom is doing OK. Robert has left his Job with FINRA. He was not happy since the move and his supervisor was making things very rough for him. Hr plans on selling the house and finding a position upstate near Maggie. It will be difficult for the next few months but we have a plan and with God's help things will be much better for everyone.
My life hasn't changed. I have been working seven days a week since my return from NYC but I take a couple of hours off Mon - Fri. to help give me a break.
I saw Rent on Broadway when I was in NY for Easter. The Barone's bought Robert & I Orchestra seats for a Wed. matinee show. It was great! Seventh row and the show was excellent!
I haven't seen a show in such a long time. Rob and I just about made curtain call as we left Richmond Hill a little late and the weather was bad. The rest of my Easter trip was spent working on a few things around their house and taking care of Mom. I cooked two legs of lamb for Easter dinner and worked my but off. The whole family came except for the Hopper clan. Even Aunt Marge, Janet and Roddy.
Katie's Wedding is set for June 27th. I am planning on spending a few days before the wedding entertaining Bruce and Maria's family.
Work is the same but it keeps me busy in Yakima. I am trying to keep a positive mental attitude regarding the economy and the upcoming elections. There are many dark days ahead of all of us as our economy deteriorates. The cost of food, gas and everything else continues to rise and our elected officials continue to prove how worthless they are and how embedded they are in the pockets of of the corporate lobby. As I witness the political forum preach their commitment to the average American, I wonder how they can sleep, let alone justify their existence. In my opinion whether Hillary, Obama or McCain get elected it really doesn't matter as they are all just puppets. Until we change our political process and eliminate the corporate lobby we will never be truly represented by our government. WAKE UP AMERICA! We need to recognize now, our enemy is not the terrorist or the illegal immigrant, but our own elected officials that continue to allow the degradation of our constitutional rights, loss of jobs and the eroding of our economy and way of life. I have a feeling our lives will never be the same.
I didn't feel this hopeless about our country even after 9/11. I feel there is no turning back now. We are being pushed into a corner and we are on the verge of something happening. I don't know what, but I am worried. I can only hope and pray I am wrong. Oh well time for American Idol so I have to go. Ha Ha.
peace,
Q.
